The Hollywood Seminars "recommended reading" list of filmmaking books
and videos (DVD and VHS) is about independent film, scriptwriting,
screenwriting, mainstream movies, directing, producing,
writing, acting, film investing, and film finance.
It is the Filmmakers Library.

If you read the right books, you can learn to produce hit movies, or make
smaller, personal motion pictures, as film makers have done since the
beginning of movie-making. You can do this on your own,
or in a group, if you attend a film school or institute.

The Filmmaker's Library is what you need if you are into indie film production, or
if you watch movies, attend film festivals, or are otherwise a lover of the cinema.

The Hollywood Seminars "recommended reading" list of filmmaking
books and videos (DVD and VHS) will help whether you are an artist
(with money or without), or enjoy photography, cameras, actors,
actresses, sets, costumes, props, visual effects, or even the
intricacies of film finance!

(We have some books on raising money for your movie that you just won't find
anywhere else.) Learn to raise capital, look for cash, raise money from studios
or distributors, apply for free government or foundation grant money, find investors,
or get loans that let you make your movie on borrowed money. Whatever your
experience level or business structure, you can find what you need here.

Remember, you can buy these books online, or you can check them out at your
local library, for free! The important thing is, this is a comprehensive list of
all the film and video books you need, from your friends at Hollywood Seminars.

You may link to this page, but please don't swipe the copyrighted list.
